Basketball Teams Finish Season Strong
The boys and girls basketball teams faired well in the Big 8 Tournament. While the Lady Tigers were defeated in the 1st round, they gave the eventual runner up to the tournament all they could handle. The Tigers went into the tournament as the 5th overall seed out of 8 teams. The boys blazed their way through the 1st and 2nd rounds by defeating the Tracy City Eagles and St. Andrews Mountain Lions. The boys would end up finishing 2nd in the tournament. This was the best finish for a Pelham basketball team in the Big 8 tournament in some time. We are very proud of both of our teams and we thank all the students and adults that helped make this a great basketball season!! Go Tigers!!
